SCHOLARSHIP MINISTRY A 

 We are extremely pleased to offer you financial assistance in your pursuit to a Higher Education! First Baptist Church scholarships are available to all current undergraduate college students and first timers who are attending any two or four-year College or University.

 To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a full-time matriculated student and a member of The First Baptist Church of Stratford in “good standing”. You may refer to the church’s hand book for the definition of,” in good standing” or contact Sister Evelyn Nims. Please refer to you school’s handbook’s for their definition of a full-time student matriculated student.

We look forward to supporting you in your educational goals! The deadline of submission for this application is Sunday, August 26, 2018. This deadline will be strictly adhered to.

Applications must be typewritten and can be returned along with the required documents by scanning and emailing them to Sister Leora Davis at This email address is being protected from spambots. You may also place your completed application and documents in sealed envelope in the Scholarship Ministry’s mailbox located on the lower level of the church near the elevator.  FIRST BAPTIST SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

FIRST TIME STUDENTS:

  • A copy of your official college or university’s acceptance letter from the school you will be attending.
  • Verification of enrollment for the Fall semester.
  • An essay of a least 250 words sharing your career and community interests, any current and future goals, and any achievements you have earned during your high school years

RETURNING STUDENTS:

  • Verification of completion of full-time status for the previous semester. College Transcripts are acceptable.
  • Verification of enrollment for returning to full-time status for the current semester.
